Grant Mayer

Grant Mayer is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leadership roles within the sports and community sectors. Currently serving as the CEO of the South Australian Jockey Club Inc. since September 2017, Grant also holds board member positions at Clubs SA and the Australia Day Council of South Australia. Previous roles include board memberships at Diving SA and an advisory position at Adelaide United FC. Grant's background in education includes part-time lecturer roles at the Australian College of Physical Education and the International College of Management, Sydney, along with significant leadership experience as CEO of Wests Tigers Rugby League Pty Ltd. Grant's academic qualifications include a BA in Sports Administration from the University of Canberra, an Associate Diploma in Sports Science from the University of Wollongong, and completion of the Transformative Leadership Program at the University of Adelaide. Additionally, Grant is affiliated with the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Morphettville Racecourse

The South Australian Jockey Club is proud to be South Australia’s largest, and premier racing club, playing host to 58 days of racing action throughout the year at Morphettville Racecourse. In addition to racing on a weekly basis, Morphettville is a multipurpose venue featuring function rooms able to host events of all occasions 7 days a week. The club has a membership of around 2000, 9 Board Members and employs 90 permanent and up to 400 casual staff. These staff are spread throughout administration, catering, ground staff, race day casuals and the Club's external entertainment venue, The Junction.
