Laura McCarthy

Laura McCarthy has a diverse work experience in the field of clinical operations. Laura is currently employed as a Senior Director of Clinical Operations at Morphic Therapeutic since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Takeda from January 2019 to April 2022, holding the positions of Director of Clinical Operations and Associate Director of Clinical Programs. Laura also gained experience at Shire Pharmaceuticals, where they served as an Associate Director of Clinical Programs from January 2015 to January 2019, and as a Senior Clinical Project Manager from May 2013 to December 2014. Before joining Shire Pharmaceuticals, they briefly worked at Kelly Services as a Senior Clinical Project Manager from March 2013 to May 2013. Laura's early career includes roles at Pfizer, where they held positions such as Clinical Operations Lead from September 2009 to December 2012, Regional Study Manager from January 2008 to September 2009, and Clinical Trial Manager from January 2006 to January 2008. Laura began their career at Wyeth Research as a Clinical Trial Support Specialist from December 2003 to January 2005.

Laura McCarthy attended Eckerd College from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Sciences.
