Tom Loughman currently serves as the President and CEO of the Morris Museum, a position held since May 2023. Loughman is also the Founder of Via 10 Arts LLC, starting that role in June 2021. Previously, Loughman directed the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art from February 2016 to April 2021 and held various leadership positions, including Associate Director and Assistant Deputy Director, at the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute from October 2008 to January 2016. Early in the career, Loughman worked as the Curator of European Art and Assistant to the Director for Exhibitions at the Phoenix Art Museum from January 2004 to October 2008 and was an NEA Curatorial Intern at the Philadelphia Museum of Art from 1995 to 1997. Loughman earned a Bachelor’s degree in Government and Fine Arts from Georgetown University, a Master’s degree in the History of Art from Williams College, and a PhD in Art History from Rutgers University. Additionally, Loughman participated in the Museum Leadership Institute in 2008.
