Peter W. Dawes has had extensive experience working in various industries and positions throughout their career. Peter W. began their professional journey in 1990 at ALSTOM Power, where they served as Vice President, guiding the start-up business and developing new service capabilities and solutions. In 2005, they worked at Exterran as Senior Director of the engineering, fabrication, and packaging of natural gas compression units. Subsequently, they served as Vice President, overseeing the aftermarket service business for gas compression equipment. In 2008, they became the President of Broadwind Energy Services, presiding over the company’s operations and expanding its market presence and bottom-line margins.
In 2011, Peter joined Hamon Deltak, where they were the President and led business operations while streamlining operations and eliminating inefficiencies. Peter W. served as President of Whistling Rock Group, LLC, from 2010 to 2018, where they provided advisory services for organizations in several industries, focusing on market positioning, growth, and product insights.
Peter W. joined Global Power Equipment Group in 2015 and served as the President of the Mechanical Solutions Segment, where they headed the global segment and created and executed a multi-faceted plan to turn around performance and drive growth using lean and six sigma tools.
In 2018, Peter became the President and Chief Operating Officer of Capco, LLC, where they created a vision and long-term strategy for growth and transformation, leading teams through a whistleblower claim and achieving a positive outcome with no admission of wrongdoing, liability, or debarment. Peter W. is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Moser Energy Systems, a position they have held since 2021, overseeing the company’s prime power and continuous duty generators that are purpose-built to perform flawlessly in the most demanding and unforgiving environments.
Peter W. Dawes has a diverse education history. Peter W. obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the same institution. Peter W. then pursued a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. Later, they earned an MBA degree from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Additionally, they received two certifications: the Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors in 1988, and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2020.
