Evelyn Solomon is currently a Board Member at Mosholu Montefiore Community Center. Evelyn has been in this position since August 2019. Prior to that, they were a Social Work Therapist at The Collaborative NYC from September 2018 to May 2019. Evelyn has also worked as an NYU MSW Intern at Butler Child and Family Center at Montefiore Hospital and Argus Community. From January 2006 to April 2016, they were employed as a Crisis Intervention worker at Orr Shalom for Children and Youth at Risk, where they did foster home visits, provided crisis management, and mentored graduates through military service, housing, and continuing studies.
Evelyn Solomon has a Master of Social Work from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Tulane University. Evelyn is also a certified EMDR therapist, Theraplay practitioner, cognitive behavioral therapist, and trauma-focused CBT practitioner. Additionally, they have completed training in dialectical behavior therapy and psychological coaching from Tel Aviv University.
