Shelia A. Marable serves as a Graphic Design and Career & Technical (CTE) Educator for Jefferson County Public Schools since September 2017, where responsibilities include preparing students in effective communication techniques through graphic design. In addition to this role, Shelia acts as a CTE New Teacher Lead & Mentor and serves as an advisor for the PRP Black Student Union. With experience as a speaker and advocate for Mothers Against Drunk Driving and as an advisor with AIGA Louisville, Shelia emphasizes diversity and inclusion in the design field. Furthermore, Shelia has contributed significantly to CTE as a KACTE Leadership Fellow and has been involved in mentoring initiatives with Adobe. Educational qualifications include an EdD candidate in Educational Leadership from Murray State University, a Master’s in Career and Technical Education from the same institution, and a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Louisville.
