Jeff Burman

Jeff Burman is an experienced sound editor and member of the Board of Directors for the Motion Picture Editors Guild, Local 700 IATSE, since 1991, where Burman represents Motion Picture Assistant Editors and contributes a quarterly column titled "Labor Matters" in the Editors Guild Magazine. Burman has been part of the editorial staff at NBCUniversal, Inc. since April 1989, focusing on re-editing theatrical feature films for airlines and television to remove inappropriate content. Previously, Burman worked as a sound editor at Cannon Films from 1988 to 1989, contributing to projects such as "Hannah's War," "Kinjite," and "Hero and the Terror." Burman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine and Studio Arts from Brandeis University, obtained in 1979.
