Jim Turner

Jim Turner serves as the Education & Training Coordinator for the Motion Picture Editors Guild since September 2022, where responsibilities include facilitating training for IATSE Local 700 members in various software and workflows. Additionally, Jim has held roles as an Avid Certified | Media Composer Master Instructor since August 2019, teaching courses to aspiring Avid Certified Instructors. Jim coordinates events for the ACSR Alliance, has taught Avid Media Composer courses at several educational institutions, and has experience as a Workflow Consultant and Media Services Specialist. Jim holds multiple certifications in Avid Media Composer and has completed extensive education in various editing software.
