Laura Major

Laura Major has an extensive work experience in the technology and autonomous driving industry. Laura started their career at Draper Laboratory in 2005, where they held various roles, including Cognitive Engineer, Group Leader, and Division Leader. During their time at Draper, they created a new multidisciplinary group that grew from 5 to 15 members, focusing on solving challenges related to human-system collaboration. In 2017, Laura joined Aria Insights, Inc. as the VP of Engineering and later became the CTO. Laura then moved to Aptiv as the CTO for Autonomous Mobility in 2019. In 2020, Laura served as the CTO for the Hyundai Aptiv Autonomous Driving Joint Venture before transitioning to their current role as CTO at Motional.

Laura Major earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2002. Laura then went on to complete their Master of Science degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2003 to 2005.
