Niklas Völker

Niklas Völker has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Niklas began their career as a Tool Mechanic Apprentice at Steel Automotive GmbH in 2007 and worked there until 2010. In 2011, they joined the Institute of Material and Processes as a Research Assistant in Manufacturing Technology, where they worked until 2014. Niklas then moved on to BLANCO GmbH + Co KG, where they were an Industrial Engineer Intern in 2014 and a Bachelor's Student in Industrial Engineering in 2015. In 2016, they worked at Motius GmbH as a Teamlead Factory Planning. Later that year, they joined MAHLE as an Industrial Engineer Intern. In 2017, they worked at Kautex Textron as a Program Manager Working Student and later as a Master's Student in Program Management. Niklas returned to Motius in 2018, where they held various roles including Engineer Industry 4.0, Embedded Engineer for IoT, and currently, Systems Engineer & Developer.

Niklas Völker's education history includes several degrees and certifications. Niklas obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering from Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences in 2015. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Glasgow from 2014 to 2015. Niklas then earned a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Technical Management from Rheinische Fachhochschule Köln between 2016 and 2018.

In 2021 and 2022, Niklas attended MIT xPRO to study Architecture and Systems Engineering: Models and Methods to Manage Complex Systems. Niklas further enhanced their knowledge and skills through certifications in Architecture of Complex Systems and Model-Based Systems Engineering: Documentation and Analysis, both obtained from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
