EVP, General Counsel, Secretary and Business Compliance Officer at Motiva

Amy Plato is the Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary and Business Compliance Officer for Motiva, appointed in January 2020.

Amy joined the Aramco Services Company (ASC) team in 2012 where she served as primary corporate counsel for ASC’s subsidiary, Saudi Refining, Inc., in conjunction with SRI’s distribution of assets and liabilities out of its joint venture with Shell, Motiva Enterprises, LLC. Her expertise comes from the 17 years spent as a litigation partner, trying complex commercial cases to juries and arbitral panels – including claims of bank fraud, securities fraud, and RICO – before moving into complex transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and dissolutions. She has also managed corporate governance issues and oversaw federal regulatory filings for ASC and its affiliates.

Amy received her B.A. from Dartmouth College and her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. She holds memberships with the State Bar of Texas, U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth, Eighth and Federal Circuits, and the U.S. District Courts of Northern, Eastern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas.
