Deric Masten

Deric Masten has extensive experience in materials and corrosion technology, currently serving as Manager of Materials and Corrosion Technology at Motiva Enterprises LLC since January 2015, where responsibilities include providing technical support for the Motiva refinery and ethylene cracker and leading the equipment integrity program. Prior to this role, Deric worked at Shell Chemical LLC as a Materials/Corrosion Engineer from August 2006 to January 2015, and held positions as a Metallurgist at Valero Energy Corporation and as a Project Engineer at Premcor Refining. Earlier in Deric's career, a position as a Materials/Corrosion Engineer at Motiva Enterprises LLC was held from June 2001 to April 2004. Deric holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Welding Engineering Technology from Utah State University, earned between 1994 and 1999.
