Rebecca Katz

Rebecca Katz has a diverse and extensive work experience in the legal field. Rebecca is currently the Head of SEC Whistleblower Litigation Practice at Motley Rice since January 2019. Prior to this, Rebecca was a Member at their own law firm, the Law Firm of Rebecca M. Katz, from May 2015 to December 2018, as well as an Of Counsel at Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check, LLP during the same period. Before that, they worked as a Member at Motley Rice LLC from June 2012 to April 2015. Rebecca's career also includes serving as a Partner at Bernstein Liebhard LLP from January 2001 to June 2012, an Associate at Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein, LLP from August 1998 to November 2000, and Senior Counsel at the US Securities & Exchange Commission from September 1990 to July 1998.

Rebecca Katz obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Hofstra University between 1983 and 1987. Rebecca then went on to pursue their Doctor of Law (JD) from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, a four-year course that they completed from 1987 to 1990.
