Ian Gell has over 17 years of work experience in various engineering and design roles. Ian is currently the Engineering and Technology Director at Motocaddy Golf since February 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Aqualisa Products Limited from 2014 to 2021, holding positions such as Head of New Product Design, R&D Senior Design & Innovation Manager, and Senior Design Engineer & Project Manager. From 2010 to 2014, they were a Senior Product Development Engineer at Alumasc Water Management Solutions. Ian also worked at Dyson from 2007 to 2009 as a Design Engineer in New Product Innovation and at Absolute Action as a Designer from 2006 to 2007. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Concept Designer at The London Taxi Company (Aust) Ltd in 2004.

Ian Gell obtained a Master of Design (MDes) with 1st Class Honours in Automotive and Transport Design from Coventry University between 2001 and 2005. Prior to that, they received a Btech National Diploma in Design with Distinction from KIAD - Kent Institute of Art & Design from 1999 to 2001. Ian's earliest known education was at St Simon Stock from 1991 to 1996, but there is no record of a specific degree or field of study for that period.
