Sarah Kennedy

Managing Editor at MotorBiscuit

Sarah Kennedy joined the MotorBiscuit team as the managing editor in 2021, and brings with her a bevy of automotive expertise. She is currently an ASE-Certified Automotive Service Consultant and Licensed Car Salesperson, and has completed a number of courses from the Automotive Management Institute. She is an active member of the Society of Professional Journalists and earned her bachelor’s degree in English from The Ohio State University.

There is so much about the automotive world that is more human than machine, and Sarah is obsessed with finding out how and why people connect around cars. She’s particularly interested in following the life cycle of a car: Who thought of it, who made it, who drives it, who fixes it when it’s sick or hurt, and who takes it apart when it’s deemed undrivable. She’s learned that cars are complicated, but not nearly as wonderfully complex as the people who design, drive, and repair them.

Sarah was the creator of “Shop Smarts” for MOTOR Magazine and was the publication’s only female contributor from 2013-2020. Her work earned her a Gold Medalist award from the American Society of Business Publication Editors in 2014 and Bronze Medalist awards from the International Automotive Media Competition in 2014 and 2015.
