John Powell

John Powell, MBA, has extensive experience in sales management and engineering, currently serving as the DOD North East Area Sales Manager and US Federal Markets MR Sales Manager at Motorola Solutions since December 2012. In this role, John leads the management of the Federal Manufacturers Representatives global program, focusing on channel growth and developing a customer solutions-oriented sales team. Previous positions include Sr. Account Manager for the Department of Defense and Senior Systems Engineer, supporting wireless communication solutions. John also has a foundation in engineering from various internships, including roles at United Coolair Corp. and Sechan Electronics, Inc., alongside leadership experience in team projects during academic years at York College of Pennsylvania, where John earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, followed by an MBA from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
