Brooke Rothberg is an experienced Research Assistant currently employed at Patient and Family Center Care (PFCC) since November 2016, where responsibilities include interviewing pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) patient families to gather insights aimed at enhancing safety and quality within the University of Michigan Health System (UMHS). Concurrently, at Mott Children's Health Center since September 2014, Brooke focuses on reducing stress and anxiety for pediatric patients during blood draws by administering surveys to phlebotomists and analyzing the impact of comfort techniques. Previous roles include serving as a Soccer Coach at Camp Starlight, overseeing youth development, and conducting research at York College on fMRI training course availability for students. Brooke holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience from the University of Michigan, completed in 2017.
