Colin Nichol

Colin Nichol is an experienced design and operations professional with a distinguished career in the water and infrastructure sectors. Currently serving as Design Director at Mott MacDonald Bentley since October 2015, Colin leads design delivery and oversees Mott MacDonald's initiatives in the Northern Operating Area, focusing on innovative solutions for Northumbrian Water and Yorkshire Water. Prior to this role, Colin held positions at J N Bentley Ltd, including Operations Manager and Framework Manager, where responsibilities encompassed managing operations and overseeing multiple frameworks with Northumbrian Water. Earlier experience includes a Business Manager role at MWH Global and various managerial positions at Northumbrian Water, alongside a solid educational background with a BA (Hons) in Business Studies and an HND in Civil Engineering from Northumbria University.
