John Chesterton is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in water resource management and hydraulic structures. Currently serving as Vice President and Water Practice Lead at Mott MacDonald since May 2010, John has also held positions as Principal Project Manager for dams and hydraulic structures, and Principal Hydraulic Structures Engineer. Prior to this, John worked as a Water Resources Engineer at Tonkin & Taylor from November 2003 to March 2009, and began a career as a Site Surveyor at Hurlstone Earthmoving from January 1999 to January 2000, where responsibilities included site surveying and construction activity reporting. John earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from The University of Auckland between 2000 and 2004.
