Jose Centeno

Jose Centeno is a highly experienced civil engineer with a strong background in structural engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Project Engineer at Mott MacDonald since May 2022, Centeno previously worked with Glotman Simpson Consulting Engineers in various roles, including Structural Engineer P. Eng. and Structural Engineer in Training, from March 2015 to April 2022. Centeno has contributed to significant projects as a Visiting Scientist for the University of Auckland, documenting earthquake damage and developing 3D computer models. Early career experiences include a Graduate Research Assistant role at the Earthquake Engineering Research Facility and a Junior Structural Engineer position at Consulsismica in Ecuador. Centeno holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from The University of British Columbia and a Bachelor's degree from Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral.
