Matt Clifford

Matt Clifford is a Site Engineer at Mott MacDonald, involved in the Celtic Interconnector Project as a CIDAC Site Monitoring Engineer since December 2022. Previously, Matt held a Principal Structural Engineer role within the NIS structures division, overseeing civil structure monitoring for solar and green energy projects and leading technical assurance for wastewater infrastructure projects. With extensive experience as a Senior Structural Engineer at CS Consulting Group, Matt contributed to high-end residential and commercial projects, and at AECOM, played roles ranging from Structural Engineer to Graduate Structural Engineer, focusing on seismic assessments and structural design. Matt's military background includes service as a Corporal in the Irish Army Reserve Defence Force, where leadership and training responsibilities were prominent. Matt holds a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering from Munster Technological University.
