Lucia currently holds the position of VP, Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer at Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, where they are responsible for overseeing compliance and privacy initiatives. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Operational Audit at R1 RCM. At Broward Health, they served in multiple roles, including Associate Vice President of Compliance, Director of Focus Arrangements, Auditing & Monitoring, and Focus Arrangements Manager. Lucia also gained experience at Jackson Health System as a Compliance Auditor, Lead Enrollment Specialist, Enrollment Specialist, and Health Navigator. Additionally, they worked as a Graduate Student Intern at Alliance for Aging, Inc., and as a Patient Accounts Representative III at Mercy Hospital.
Lucia Pizano-Urbina, MPH, holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Health Policy and Management from Florida International University, which they obtained from 2009 to 2011. Prior to their MPH, they completed their Bachelor of Health Services Administration from the same institution, starting in 2000 and graduating in 2009.
