Regina Dawson, JD, RN, CPHRM, CPPS has a diverse work experience in the healthcare, legal, and nursing fields. Regina'scurrent position is Associate Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety at Mount Sinai Medical Center Miami Beach, where they also serve as the Patient Safety Officer - Director of Patient Safety. Prior to that, they held roles at Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters as Manager of Patient Safety and Accreditation Specialist. Regina also served as a Pediatric Home Health Manager at Personal Touch Home Care.

Regina Dawson holds a Juris Doctorate degree with a concentration in Health Law from California Western School of Law, which they obtained from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Registered Nursing, Nursing Administration, Nursing Research, and Clinical Nursing from Old Dominion University between 2002 and 2004. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management from the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM) in December 2016. Regina also holds a certification as a Certified Professional in Patient Safety from the IHI, which they acquired in May 2022. Furthermore, they are a registered nurse certified by the Commonwealth of Virginia since June 1995, as well as the District of Columbia Department of Health since June 2001.
