Dennis Dudley is an experienced emergency preparedness and law enforcement professional, currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor at Mount St. Mary's University and as the Director of the Department of Emergency Preparedness for Frederick County Government since July 2017. Previously held roles include Administrative Operations Manager for the Automated Traffic Enforcement Unit with Montgomery County Police and various commander positions within the Frederick Police Department, overseeing divisions such as Patrol, Special Operations, and Professional Services. Dennis also contributed to the Frederick Police Department as a Supervisor in the Planning Division, focusing on homeland security and emergency management. Military experience includes serving as an Infantry Officer in the US Army. Dennis holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Troy University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Political Science from Fordham University.
