Amy McAuley is a seasoned professional in historic preservation and carpentry, currently serving as the Restoration Manager and Preservation Joiner at George Washington's Mount Vernon since April 2019. With extensive experience at Oculus Fine Carpentry, Inc. since 2002, Amy specializes in the conservation of historic windows and doors and employs traditional hand tools in constructing these essential elements. Additionally, Amy has contributed as an instructor at the Pacific Northwest Field School from 2009 to September 2016, sharing expertise in the conservation and assessment of historic structures. Amy began their career as a carpenter at FULL CIRCA INC from 1996 to 2002. Amy holds a B.A. in Fine Arts with a focus on Fine and Studio Arts and Art History from the University of Oregon, completed in 1993.
