Bill Shriver

Bill Shriver currently serves as Council President for Muskingum Valley Council #467 BSA since March 2021. As a retired teacher from Mount Vernon City School District, Bill accumulated over 36 years of educational experience, including 28 years as a High School Social Studies Teacher and ongoing duties as a Student Teacher Supervisor at Mount Vernon Nazarene University, where supervision and assessment of teaching licensure candidates and field experience students are primary responsibilities. Bill held the position of Executive Secretary Treasurer at the North Central Ohio Education Association from May 1993 to May 2005, managing financial records and budgets for a regional association. Bill's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in History from The College of Wooster and a Master of Arts in History from the University of Chicago. Summer staff experience at Philmont Scout Ranch from 1968 to 1976 contributed to Bill's lifelong dedication to education and leadership.
