Brad Whitaker

Brad Whitaker is an accomplished academic professional with extensive experience in higher education, serving at Mount Vernon Nazarene University since August 2007 in various roles, including Assistant Vice President for Student Success and Retention, Director of the Nease Institute, Professor of Mathematics, and Director of Academic Support. Prior to this position, Brad held faculty roles at Point Loma Nazarene University and Borough of Manhattan Community College, and served as a Mathematics Consultant with the Kern County Superintendent of Schools. Brad's teaching background also includes time as a Secondary School Mathematics and Physics Teacher with the Peace Corps. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education (EdD), Master of Education (MEd), and Master of Arts (MA) in Mathematics Teacher Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, as well as a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physics and Mathematics from Southern Nazarene University.
