Dr. Carson Castleman

Dr. Carson Castleman has extensive work experience in the field of education and administration. Dr. Carson currently serves as the President of Mount Vernon Nazarene University since September 2023. Prior to this, they held various positions at IWU National & Global, including Vice President of Student Experience and Deputy Title IX Officer from January 2021 to September 2023, and Vice President of Regional Education and External Relations from April 2019 to September 2023. Dr. Castleman also worked at Indiana Wesleyan University, where they served as Vice President of Regional Education & Innovation from 2004 to 2023, and as a Regional Dean from June 2004 to January 2011.

Dr. Carson Castleman obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Capella University in 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Human Resource from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2012. In 1996, Dr. Castleman completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Religion and Counseling at Liberty University. Dr. Carson received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication from Northern Kentucky University in 1995.
