Gary Weatherly

Gary Weatherly has extensive experience in the field of Fine Arts. Gary began their career at Mountain Brook High School in 1997 as Head of the Fine Arts Department and a Teacher. In 1977, they joined Birmingham Children's Theatre as a Resident Scenery and Lighting Designer, where they served in various roles such as tour director, stage manager, and technical director. Gary continued to work with the theatre until 1995. In 2007, they became a Board Member of DP Theatre Series. From 2010 to 2013, they held various leadership positions at the Alabama Conference of Theatre, including President, Chair of Secondary Division, and Vice Chair of Secondary Division.

Gary Weatherly completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where they studied from 1973 to 1977. Later, from 2008 to 2010, they pursued coursework for a Masters Degree in Theatre Education, specializing in Theatre Education and Production, at Southern Oregon University.
