Mountain View High School
Mickey G. Lai is an experienced educator and basketball coach with a diverse background spanning multiple roles in teaching and sports. Currently serving as a teacher at the Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District since August 2018, Mickey previously held teaching positions in the Fremont Union High School District and as an instructional assistant in the Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District. In addition to teaching, Mickey has been a basketball coach with CoachUp since January 2014 and has a rich history of coaching at various school levels within the MVLA School District. Educational achievements include a Master's degree in Special Education and Teaching from National University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Sociology from the University of California, Davis. Mickey's early career also includes experience in child care and a role as a student resident firefighter while at UC Davis.

Serving the communities of Mountain View, Los Altos, and Los Altos Hills, the MVLA district is comprised of two comprehensive high schools, an alternative high school, an adult education center, the Freestyle Academy for Arts & Technology, and Middle College.
