Kevin Knight has worked in the gaming industry since 2012. Kevin began their career as Lead Gameplay Engineer at Iron Galaxy Studios, where they worked with all departments to prototype, plan, and implement new gameplay concepts. Kevin also mentored and supported a team of engineers across networking, AI, and gameplay disciplines. Kevin implemented several major systems, including the combat move development pipeline and free-climbing in an open-world environment. Kevin then moved to Senior Engineer and Generalist Engineer roles, where they deployed to multiple internal prototypes as a member of small teams to iterate on new concepts rapidly. Kevin also worked on co-development projects and project upgrades and porting to consoles. Kevin wrote a distributed build system and build upload/patching logic for desktop games launcher.
Prior to Iron Galaxy Studios, Kevin Knight worked at DePaul University from 2011 to 2012. Kevin was a Graduate Assistant working directly under Charley Wilcox, managing the gaming labs and keeping the games and systems working and up to date. Kevin was also a Game Lab Moderator and Assistant Grader.
In 2005, Kevin Knight worked as a Lifeguard 1 at East Bay Regional.
Currently, Kevin Knight is a Senior Gameplay Engineer at Mountaintop Studios.
Kevin Knight obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Games Development from DePaul University from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they attended Ohlone College from 2008 to 2010.
