Stephanie Gómez has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Stephanie currently serves as the Political Director at MOVE Texas. Prior to that, they were the Associate Director for Texas at Common Cause. Stephanie also served on the Board of Directors and held the positions of Secretary and Board Chair for Community Engagement at Fund Texas Choice. Stephanie was the HSVR Campaign Coordinator at the Texas Civil Rights Project and held an internship role in Program Planning & Evaluation at BakerRipley. Stephanie's experience also includes various roles at the University of Houston, such as Graduate Student, Instructional Assistant, Associate Election Commissioner, and Office Assistant. Stephanie served as a Graduate Senator At Large for the University of Houston Student Government Association. Additionally, Stephanie worked as an MSW Intern at Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) and served as an Advisor at URGE: Unite for Reproductive & Gender Equity. Stephanie also served as the Houston Lead at Voto Latino.

Stephanie Gómez completed their Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at the University of Houston from 2017 to 2020. In addition, they also obtained a Master of Public Policy degree during the same time period from the same institution. Prior to pursuing their master's degrees, Stephanie earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History and Political Science from the University of Houston, graduating in 2017.

Stephanie also holds certifications in the field of social work and mental health. In 2018, they completed the Stewards of Children Prevention Training offered by Darkness to Light. Additionally, they obtained certification in Mental Health First Aid from the National Council for Behavioral Health, also in 2018.

Furthermore, Stephanie participated in the Emerging Leaders Program at The BB&T Leadership Institute, although the exact dates of completion are not provided.
