John Urias has extensive experience in leadership roles within the defense sector, currently serving as President of the Disabled Sports USA Board of Directors since October 2016 and as a Director on the Board of TenCate Advanced Armour since July 2016. Prior to these roles, John was President of Oshkosh Defense and Executive Vice President at Oshkosh Corporation, overseeing the defense business segment from October 2011 to February 2016. John previously held multiple vice president positions at Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems from June 2007 to October 2011, focusing on air and missile defense programs. Early military career includes serving as Commanding General of the Joint Contracting Command for Iraq and Afghanistan and various leadership roles within the US Army from 1975 to 2005. John holds a Master of Arts in National Security & Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School, along with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Davis.
