Oie Lian Yeh

Oie Lian Yeh has a diverse work experience in various editing and copywriting roles. Oie Lian started their career as an Editor and Technical Writer at Niche Associates from 1994 to 1996. Oie Lian then worked as an Assistant Editor at Newsday from 1998 to 2000, where they copyedited news and feature stories and designed news pages. Oie Lian also worked on award-winning investigative reports. From 2000 to 2007, Oie worked as an Assistant National/Foreign Copy Chief at San Jose Mercury News, where they copyedited stories and supervised copy editors. Oie Lian also worked on special series such as those on Sept. 11 and H1-B visas. Oie worked as a Senior Editor on the Global Content Team at PayPal from 2007 to 2008, where they edited user-focused messaging and coordinated legal review of marketing and product copy. Oie Lian then joined Yahoo! as a Senior Editor from 2009 to 2014, where they copyedited content for Yahoo's homepage and verticals, created training materials, and updated style guides. Oie worked as an independent contractor for various companies as an Editor, including Carney, Inc. from 2009 to 2010, where they copyedited multimedia training courses for the U.S. Department of Defense, Apple Inc. from March 2010 to October 2010, where they worked in marketing and graphic design, Hoover Press from November 2009 until present, and Javelin Strategy & Research from July 2010 to January 2018. Since December 2014, Oie has been working as a Copy Chief at Move, Inc.

Oie Lian Yeh completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from the University of Utah between 1988 and 1992.
