Lauren Gepford

Vice President/executive Director, Contest Every Race at Movement Labs

Lauren Gepford has a diverse and extensive work history in the political and organizational field. Lauren joined Movement Labs as the Managing Director of Contest Every Race & Rural Power Lab, where they created and launched a program to support rural Democratic County Parties. Lauren has successfully grown this program and currently supports over 200 counties in 15+ states. Lauren also worked as the Data Director for Bredesen for U.S. Senate, where they recruited, trained, and managed a team of direct reports and handled data administration for multiple databases and analytics platforms.

In their role as a National Account Executive at NGP VAN, Lauren played a crucial part in ensuring the deployment of products to meet client's data unification and systems integration needs. Lauren also prospecting new clients and maintained relationships with Democratic Committees, consultants, campaigns, and other progressive organizations.

Prior to that, Lauren held the role of Data Director at The Missouri Democratic Party, where they advised campaigns on using data-driven decision-making and acted as a voter file manager between campaigns and the DNC/VAN. Lauren successfully deployed a state-wide training program and provided technical support to non-technical audiences.

Lauren has also served as the Executive Director of the Jackson County Democratic Committee, where they acted as an in-house consultant for campaigns and oversaw the party's local field staff. Lauren managed databases, digital, and fundraising programs and achieved significant increases in attendance, email list, and fundraising results.

Additionally, Lauren has experience at GPS IMPACT, where they launched and managed client organization Protect Missouri Families, and at Nixon for Missouri, League of Women Voters Missouri, and the US Department of Homeland Security.
