Michael Mebane

Michael Mebane currently serves as Principal in Residence at Movement School, a role held since June 2023. Prior to this, Michael held positions including Assistant Vice President at KIPP: CHARLOTTE SCHOOL DISTRICT from August 2022 to June 2023 and Grade 5 Teacher at Achievement First from May 2018 to June 2023, where responsibilities included serving as Content Network Lead for PE MS/HS and Athletic Director. Michael also contributed to KIPP Delta Public Schools as a 7th and 8th Grade Math Teacher/Athletic Director from July 2015 to July 2018. Earlier experience includes roles at Sherwin Williams, American Credit Acceptance, Belk, Walmart, and Hollister Incorporated, demonstrating a diverse background in education, management, and customer service. Michael earned a Master’s degree in Sports Administration from Arkansas State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina Upstate.
