Rajiv Smith-Mahabir has a diverse work experience in the field of video production and editing. Rajiv began their career as a Lead Digital Imaging Assistant at the University of Southern California, where they conducted hands-on training and quality control for digitization processes. Rajiv then worked as a Post Production Assistant for the TV show "Big Brother 9", where they managed show tapes and oversaw post facilities.

Later, Rajiv joined InTheMO.com as an Editor and took on responsibilities such as overseeing the video department, scheduling editors, and producing video pieces. Rajiv then moved on to the University of Southern California again, this time as a Manager of the Digital Imaging Lab, where they filled in for their old boss, scheduled student employees, and conducted training for incoming assistants.

Rajiv's experience also includes working on various film projects. Rajiv served as a Cinematographer for the documentary "Romeo is Bleeding", capturing the story of a young man using poetry to transcend violence in their community. Rajiv also worked as a Cinematographer for the documentary "Strangers to Peace", exploring the lives of ex-FARC guerrilla members in Colombia.

Additionally, Rajiv worked as a Drone Pilot for LADrones and as an Editor for Pickle Juice Productions, where they shot and edited videos for notable clients such as Netflix, Nike, Clorox, and VEVO.

Currently, Rajiv is working at Movement Strategy, first as a Senior Editor and currently as a Video Director. In these roles, they oversee post-production and production departments, ensures the delivery of high-quality content, and actively contributes to new business pitches and brainstorming sessions.

Throughout their career, Rajiv has demonstrated their expertise in storytelling, editing, and cinematography, as well as their ability to work with diverse teams and handle various responsibilities in the video production industry.

Rajiv Smith-Mahabir attended the University of Southern California from 2004 to 2007, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cinema-Television Production.
