Rob Parenti has over 10 years of work experience in the education field. In 2021, they began working as the Chief Education Officer for MOVIA Robotics, where they are responsible for directing all Education functions and activities for the company. Rob is also responsible for hiring, training, developing, and evaluating team members, as well as creating the onboarding process and evaluation system.
Prior to this, Parenti worked as the Director of Special Education at Oak Hill School in Hartford, CT from 2017-2021. In this role, they supervised, led, and collaborated with a team of 32 to educate severely disabled students. Rob also trained all staff members on new curriculum and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) lesson planning.
From 2014-2017, Parenti was the Director of Operations & Special Education Services at EdAdvance, a non-profit Regional Education Service Center (RESC). In this role, they analyzed operations and core needs, then implemented strategies to optimize daily and financial operations.
From 2011-2014, Parenti worked as the Director of Special Education & Pupil Personnel for Plymouth, CT Public Schools. Here, they designed, developed, and executed Special Education programming for a group of 4 schools.
Finally, from 2010-2011, Parenti worked as the Assistant Principal for Columbia, CT Public Schools. In this role, they evaluated 23 Pre-K - 8th grade teachers, managed transportation for Pre-K -12th grade students, and coordinated the placement of substitute teachers, interns, practicum students, and student teachers. Rob also participated as an active member of the Health and Safety committees and assisted with the TEAM Coordinating Committee (TCC).
Rob Parenti has a diverse educational background. Rob obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Central Connecticut State University in 1994. Rob then went on to receive their Master's Degree in Special Education and Teaching from the University of Saint Joseph in 2003. In 1997, they earned their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Sacred Heart University. In 2010, they completed their Connecticut School Administrator Certificate from the University of Connecticut. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Instruction Rounds from Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2013, CPI/NVCI Trainer from Crisis Prevention Institute in 2012, Comprehensive Special Education from the State of Connecticut, Intermediate School Administrator from the State of Connecticut, and School Business Administrator from the State of Connecticut.
