Vernon Jones has extensive work experience in the field of child protection and online safety. Vernon'smost recent position was as the Head of Safety at MovieStarPlanet, where they were responsible for implementing digital safety measures and advocating for children across fifteen countries. Prior to that, they served as the Company Director at European Child Protection Services, offering training and consultancy on child protection issues. Vernon also worked as a Project Coordinator at Task 1, providing social work tasks related to violent radicalization. Other roles include advising at the cfika Center for Individuel Kompetence Afklaring and being a Social Worker at ECPAT Denmark. Vernon's early career involved various roles in social services, including being a Social Worker at the Social Services Department and Nottinghamshire Social Services Dept, and a Principal Social Worker at Social Services.
