Stefano Cherchi

Stefano Cherchi has a diverse work experience in various positions related to DevOps, system administration, and IT operations. Stefano currently holds the position of DevOps and MLOps Manager at Moviri, where they are responsible for delivering Big Data Analytics, monitoring, and Machine Learning solutions utilizing cloud-native architectures in AWS, GCP, and Azure.

Prior to their current role, Stefano was a CoFounder, DevOps Engineer, and IaaS Architect at Wasabi Peas, a network of independent IT professionals. Here, they worked with major Italian and international clients on web marketing and entertainment projects, providing effective IT solutions. Stefano had expertise in various technologies and tools including Ubuntu, RedHat, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Ruby on Rails, PHP, Apache, Nginx, Redis, MySQL, MongoDB, Zabbix, Prometheus/Grafana, and ELK Stack.

Before joining Moviri and Wasabi Peas, Stefano served as Operations Manager at Eidosmedia, where they redesigned the project delivery process and implemented automation, agility, and DevOps practices. Stefano also worked at alittleb.it SRL as a Linux System Administrator and DevOps Engineer and at ContentWise as the Head of Operations.

Earlier in their career, Stefano worked at equensWorldline as a Unix System Engineer, where their responsibilities included designing, deploying, and administering Linux systems for payment processing. Stefano also worked on monitoring, incident management, and problem determination. Stefano gained experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, ZLinux, Solaris, AIX, Apache, JBoss, Tomcat, WebLogic, Liferay, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, VMware, Ansible, and Terraform while working with clients such as ICBPI - Istituto Centrale delle Banche Popolari Italiane, CartaSi, and Nexi.

Before equensWorldline, Stefano worked at Prossima Isola as a System Administrator and at Kiver as a Linux System Administrator.
