Àngel Calzada

Àngel Calzada has worked in a variety of roles since 2004. Àngel started their career at 34 Telecomunicaciones - Grupo Cd World as a Technical Support Service. From 2005 to 2012, they worked at La Salle BCN as a Technical Support, PhD Researcher, and Assistant Professor. In 2012, they became a Graduate Research Fellow at CSTR (Centre for Speech Technology Research). In 2010, they did a 9 month research visit as a Graduate Research Fellow at Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI). In 2013, they were an Entrepreneur at dHealth Barcelona Program. From 2014 to present, they have been working at Cooltra Motos S.L. as a Desarrollador de aplicaciones web and at usMIMA as CTO & Production & Co-Founder, assuring the successful execution of usMIMA’s mission and vision through development and deployment of non-pharmacological, non invasive and without side-effects solutions to chronic constipation.

Àngel Calzada has a diverse education history. Àngel obtained a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications: Network and System Administration/Administrator from Escola Universitària Politècnica de Mataró (EUPMt - UPC) in 2004. Àngel then earned a Master of Science in Telecommunications Engineering from Universitat Ramon Llull - La salle in 2008. In 2009, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Ingeniería de telecomunicaciones from La Salle BCN. Àngel also completed an Advanced Studies Diploma in Speech technology from Universitat Ramon Llull (La Salle) in 2010. In 2021, they obtained a Certificate in Mechanical Design from Centres Innovació i Formació Ocupacional - CIFO.
