Saureen Shah

Chairman at Mozart

Saureen Shah is the Chairman at Mozart. Prior to that, they were the Cofounder and CEO of Spot Protocol from November 2017 to December 2018. Spot Protocol is a decentralized, incentive compatible protocol to issue non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on any open blockchain. The protocol enables real world asset owners to originate, tokenize, and service their assets. Shah worked with commercial real-estate developers to use our platform that implemented the protocol to issue compliant, liquid tokens for their asset.

Shah was also the Founder of Backchannel, an app for anonymous conversations at work that was built and launched into companies like Uber, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Access to the app was blocked by Twitter and Uber internally. Prior to Backchannel, Shah was the Founder / CTO at Instawork (YC S15 / Benchmark) and Co-Founder and CTO of Curios.me (NEA backed).

Saureen Shah has a BS in Business Administration and Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University. Saureen also has a degree from Y Combinator.
