Mike Heavers

Mike Heavers is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in innovation, product design, and sustainability. Currently serving as a Staff Innovation Technologist at Mozilla since October 2020, Mike leads initiatives in responsible AI, AI education, and green software principles, contributing to projects like the Mozilla AI Guide and Podquest. Previously, Mike founded and ran Digital Futures, served as a Senior Developer at Instrument collaborating with Nike, and held instructional roles at Pacific Northwest College of Art focusing on creative coding. Mike's background includes significant contributions to notable clients like Google and IBM, along with hands-on experience in developing interactive systems and educational programs in emerging technologies. Mike holds a BA in Finance from the University of Colorado Boulder and completed additional courses at New York University.
