Thomas Lohninger

Thomas Lohninger is an experienced digital rights activist and policy advisor serving as the Executive Director at epicenter.works since September 2014. In addition to this role, Thomas holds positions as a Senior Fellow at Mozilla and a Non-Residential Fellow at Stanford University's Center for Internet and Society. With expertise in IT security, Thomas teaches practical IT security at GPA-djp and previously worked as a Community Coordinator for Open Knowledge Foundation Austria and a Policy Advisor at European Digital Rights, focusing on net neutrality in the Telecom Single Market regulation. Prior software development roles include positions at Manova GmbH and ZARA - Zivilcourage und Anti-Rassismus Arbeit. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Vienna and a Matura in Computer Science from HTBLuVA Wr. Neustadt.
