Senior Data Scientist at Mozn

Osayd Abdu has had a varied and extensive career in data science. Osayd started their career in 2014 as a Course Assistant for the Introduction to Computer Science class at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 2015, they worked as a Research Intern at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, where they analyzed and evaluated a state of the art paper for optical flow named DeepMatching. In 2016, they worked at the Champaign County Regional Planning Commission as a Data Mining Analyst, where they extracted valuable information about the conditions of the bike roads infrastructure and their frequent uses. Also in 2016, they worked as a Course Assistant for the Algorithms & Models of Computations class at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where they extended student knowledge of basic algorithm concepts. In 2018, they worked at KAUST as a Teacher Assistance for Computing Systems and Concurrency, where they increased student understanding of fundamental concepts and prepared and conducted bi-weekly recitations in distributed technologies. Finally, in 2019, they worked at Mozn as a Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist.

Osayd Abdu obtained a Bachelor's degree with High Distinction in Mathematics and Computer Science with a Minor in Computational Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2017. Osayd then went on to obtain a Master of Science in Computer Science from KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology) in 2018.
