Sam Thompson has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Starting with their current role as a Software Engineer at mParticle, they are responsible for developing software solutions. Before that, Sam worked as a Chess Teacher, designing and teaching chess courses to children. Overall, Sam Thompson has a strong background in software development, project management, and academic research.

Sam Thompson obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from North Carolina State University between 2000 and 2003. After a gap of a few years, from 2009 to 2011, they pursued a Master's Degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from Appalachian State University. Additionally, Sam has acquired two additional certifications: a Programming in C# Certification from Microsoft in June 2019 and a BarSmarts certification from Beverage Alcohol Resource & Pernod Ricard USA in July 2013.
