Chris Doughty has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Chris currently holds the position of VP of Engineering at MPB since April 2023, after serving as the Engineering Director from June 2021 to April 2023. Prior to that, they were the CTO at Waer Systems Limited from October 2020 to March 2021 and the Head of IT Solutions (Interim) at The Pensions Regulator from January 2020 to October 2020.
Chris has an extensive background in the technology sector, specifically in roles related to software development and management. Chris held various positions at Collinson, where they served as the Platform Director from April 2018 to September 2019, Head of IT from October 2015 to April 2018, Head of Development from May 2010 to October 2015, and IT System Manager from May 2006 to May 2010. Chris began their career as a Software Engineer at Collinson from February 2000 to May 2006, where they gained hands-on development and software engineering experience.
Before their tenure at Collinson, Chris worked as an Analyst Programmer at the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs from September 1997 to February 2000.
Overall, Chris Doughty has a strong background in engineering, technology management, and software development with experience in various leadership roles.
Chris Doughty received a Bachelor's degree in History and Politics from Teesside University, which they attended from 1990 to 1993. In addition to their degree, they obtained the ITIL V2 Foundation Level certification from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in January 2008.
