Rachel Thompson

Rachel Thompson serves as the Head of Sustainability at MPB since December 2021, following a robust tenure at Gatwick Airport where responsibilities included leading the sustainability strategy and action plans from August 2015 to November 2021. Prior to these roles, Rachel worked as a Sustainability Senior Consultant at Salterbaxter MSLGROUP from February 2014 to August 2015, advising clients on sustainability strategy and reporting. As a Senior Adviser in Corporate Responsibility for an external consultancy in 2013, Rachel supported leading telecommunications companies in Greece. Earlier career highlights include a significant period at APCO Worldwide, where Rachel held various leadership roles in Corporate Responsibility and CSR from March 2000 to December 2012, and research analysis at OECD Secretariat. Education was completed at The Australian National University with a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Politics & Government, complemented by early career experience in the Australian Government focusing on multilateral trade policy.
