Jessy Countney is a seasoned professional in economic development and administration, currently serving as the Manager of Economic Development at the mpls downtown council since May 2023. Previously, Jessy held the role of Administrative Manager at both the East Town Business Partnership and NūLoop Partners from May 2023 to July 2024. Prior experience includes a position as Assistant Store Manager, Operations, at West Elm from February 2020 to April 2023, as well as roles as Shipping Lead and Designer. Jessy also contributed as a Policy & Advocacy Resource Designer for the Green Neighbor Challenge from May 2020 to April 2021, focusing on enhancing awareness of green energy systems. Educationally, Jessy earned a Master of Urban and Regional Planning with a concentration in Land Use & Urban Design from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs (2019-2021) and a Bachelor of Design in Architecture from the University of Minnesota (2016-2019).
