Uciane Scarlett

Uciane Scarlett has a diverse work experience in the field of life sciences and medical research. Uciane currently serves as a Member of the Board of Advisors at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth since September 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Board Member at the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center starting from September 2022. Uciane also has experience as a Principal at MPM BioImpact in 2021.

In 2019, they founded, hosted, and organized the Emerging Frontiers in Oncology summit, which aims to promote innovation and fundraising for non-profits in the oncology and life sciences sectors. Uciane also worked as a Principal at Oxford Sciences Innovation from 2019 to 2021, focusing on life science investing, company creation, and portfolio management.

Uciane has held positions at Atlas Venture as an Entrepreneur In Residence and Associate from April 2018 to December 2019, and at Compass Therapeutics LLC as the Director of Business Development and Strategy from 2016 to 2018. Uciane's earlier experience includes working as a Manager, Consultant, and Associate at Clarion | A Life Sciences Consultancy from 2011 to 2016. Uciane began their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Wistar Institute in June 2011.

Uciane Scarlett received a Ph.D. in Cancer Immunology from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth from 2006 to 2011. Prior to that, they earned a B.Sc First Class Honors in Biotechnology and Zoology from The University of the West Indies, Mona, from 2002 to 2005. Uciane also took courses for credit at The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in 2009 and 2010.
